How to Change / Reset Google password? | Change Mail Password
Here we show how you can change your Google password. Alternatively, you can reset it if you have forgotten it.
How to change your Google password
Opens this Google Account web page.
Log in with your information, if you haven’t already.
Click the menu item Security > Sign in to Google > Password.
Enter your current password as confirmation.
Enter a new secure password twice and confirm with Change Password.
Note: If you have changed your password, you will need to re-enter it on all of your Google services that you have signed in to on your devices (PC, smartphone, tablet).
After changing your password, you may be asked to perform a security check. If you want to do this, click Start Now. But this is optional.
Reset Google password
Follow Google’s instructions on how to restore your Google Account:
Enter the email address or phone number associated with your account.
You will be asked a few questions to confirm that you are the account holder.
You will then be asked to choose a new password during the recovery process.
If you have a backup email address, a link to reset your password will be sent to that email address.
If you don’t have a phone number or alternate email address, chances of resetting your Google password are slim. It may help to sign in with your last working password. If your Google Account is managed by your company, you will need to contact the company administrator.
Google updates the way you change your own Google Account settings every two months. So if you find that the instructions are out of date, please let us know in the comments. Do the same if you’ve had problems or something didn’t work properly.
